We Need to Do What do We See the Father’s Doing!

The Secrets of Jesus

In John 5:19 the Bible reveals Jesus’s life secrets!

“Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.” John 5: 19 NIV.

Jesus explained that the son alone cannot do anything!

Meditate on it, because it is the key to all things!

We live in a world where we can make our own decisions. People say: “tomorrow I’m going to travel” and they travel; they say: “I don’t like this, I like that” and so they do. They say: “I don’t like my wife/husband, I’m going to leave her/him and get another one”… And so go on! People do this because they do not understand that they have an owner!

In fact, they don’t live with the Father! Because Jesus revealed that the mentality of the son is to don’t do anything without seeing what the Father would do. That is why Jesus said that he did what he saw the Father’s doing, for this is the mentality of the children!

How many times have you tried to correct a child and correct his words? For example, if you are a swearing person, your child will swear, and after that, you want to correct saying: “Don’t say that”. However, in reality, the child imitates what the Father does, what the adult does! Regardless of how many times you correct them, they will not learn what to do just by correcting them, but through what they see their Father’s doing. That is why imitation is a child’s first language of understanding, and that is why Jesus revealed it as the secret of his life. He said that he never did anything for himself! He didn’t serve God through his own understanding.

From Communion to Unity

Jesus’ identity comes from the place of communion with the Father. Then, from that place of union, they lived the present and the future together!

“We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.” 1 John 5: 20 NIV.

The Father loves to show his son what he does! Therefore, the key is to understand that the Christian life means becoming a child of God, a Son. Thus, the Bible says that everyone who believes in the Son Jesus is given authority to become a son too! Not a slave! When we become a child of God, we become united with the intention, motivation, and heart of God! So when we do something good for people, for example, we are not going to say “I’m just doing it because of God!” We will do good because our heart loves people! This is the oneness with God the Father.
This understanding has been lost in practice, and therefore, there is an abyss in the Christian life in which many serve God and are extremely frustrated!
Jesus warned us about it!

We Need to Follow Christ!

“Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honour the one who serves me.”John 12: 26 NIV.

Jesus was saying that whoever decides to serve him needs to follow him! Because we cannot do anything without being in the Father and where Jesus is! Jesus is with the Father, so he said, “You need to follow me to be where I am.” That is, to have fellowship with the Father. That was the secret of Jesus’ life! His every intentions, thoughts, and heart attitudes began from a point of unity with his Father.

We Need to Keep What the Lord Tells Us About Who We Are!

After being baptized, God’s voice came over Jesus saying, “You are my beloved Son!” And the event following that speech was the Holy Spirit leading him to the mountain to be tempted. Why? Because the revelation decreed by God about Jesus being the beloved son needed to be preserved in Jesus! It was necessary to educate his mind and heart in that word. Therefore, in every reason and intention to live the meaning of Jesus’ life began to be rooted within him!
Immediately, Satan came to tempt Jesus… And what did Satan tempt him to do? In his filiation in God, in fatherhood! This example reveals that in everything Satan will test our identity.
Satan asked Jesus, the same question he keeps on asking us today: “Are you the son of God?” “So prove it!” He tried to put Jesus in a performance life, rather than a life of being.

Think About It…

When you are a child of God and understand who you are in this life from that meaning, that will be the source of your attitudes! You will remain in the Father and He in You! Both will become One!

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.  Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.” James 1: 22-24 NIV.
