All Old Testament prophecies speak about the First Words of the New Testament!
Let’s have a look:
1. God promised Adam a descendant that would crush the head of the Serpent/Satan. And a descendant of David who would Reign Forever!
Genealogical record of Jesus Christ, Son of Joseph, son of David, Son of Abraham, Son of Adam, Son of God. Luke 3.
This last biblical genealogy illustrates that all genealogies in the Bible culminate in one person – In The Lord Jesus, the Christ.
If you look at the gospel of Matthew or Luke, for example, from chapters 1 to 3, you will find the same introduction and repetition of the fact that God is fulfilling the promised Prophecy through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the Gospel of Matthew 2: 15b (NIV), it says “… And what the Lord had said by the prophet was fulfilled: “Out of Egypt I called my son.”
In Matthew 2: 17 (NIV), it says “…Then what was said by the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled”
Again in In the Gospel of Matthew 2: 23 (NIV), it says…” And he went to live in a city called Nazareth. Then, what was said by the prophets was fulfilled: He will be called Nazarene.”
Matthew’s Gospel proves and explains that Jesus Christ’s birth was and is the Promise! This was the predestined goal of God’s plan for all mankind.
Of all the prophecies mentioned in the first part of the Gospel of Matthew, the one that strikes us most is that recited by the High Priest and the scribes when King Herod demanded of them the understanding of where the Christ should be born! Their response to King Herod was: “For it is written by the prophet…” These scholars of the Word knew the Prophecy! They understood to some extent the Promises of God, but they lost the promise completely! Which is, the Promise of God through Jesus the Christ, being the One who gives Eternal Life to those who love Him in obedience!
Why did they lose the Prophecy they knew?
Because the understanding of a prophecy is useless without the will to Obey it in your Current Life!
Can I tell you one thing?
You know everything you need to know to do what God wants you to do today! You don’t have to know the future to know what’s right today!
Because much of what God wants today is just faithfulness through obedience to the basic principles of His Word.
Can God show us more specific things than that?
Of course! But He begins not with the fascination of the future, but with the will to obey God now! The Key is not to know the future, or to attend a Bible University, but to know God! Because God knows the future! Nothing is more important than obeying God now so that you can be where you should be tomorrow.
“You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.” John 5: 39-40 NIV
We find here, by these words of Truth, spoken by the Lord Jesus, the existence of a group of people who study the Bible diligently because they think that in “increasing their knowledge” they can have Eternal Life! However, the error is: The mind acquires knowledge, but the soul is not willing to accept that knowledge and come to God, because God is light and the actions of the people are darkness and evil! Unfortunately like most Christians today!
Our precious Lord Jesus explained to us:
This is the verdict: The light (the Thoughts of Truth) came into the world, but people loved the darkness (Thoughts of Lies) instead of the light (thoughts of Truth) because their actions (What they do) were bad. All who do evil hate the light (thoughts of Truth) and do not enter the light, for fear that their actions (what they are doing) will be exposed.
However, those who live for the truth (doing the thoughts of the Truth) enter the light (Attitudes of the Truth), so that they can see clearly what they are doing in the eyes of God!
Jesus explained what happens to the human soul, who may have the knowledge, but who refuses to live constantly and internally with God! He said that they are doing their own selfish thoughts, not those of God! They have the Key of the Knowledge, but they don’t use the Key to open the door of their lives to God, once the heart is still locked in the selfishness, the love of money, and the desires of the flesh.
Therefore, the Key to Live in Christ is not to increase your biblical knowledge about his word, but to increase your love to God, allowing him to inhabit all of your heart and life, and allowing God to manifest himself through you, along with your personal present obedience to what you already know! This is the factor that allows The Holy Spirit to increase in your heart and the manifestation of Christ to increase in your life, which will cause a decrease in the manifestation of selfishness in your life!
“We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.” 1 John 2: 3-6 NIV.
I pray that the light of this understanding comes to your soul, as a Key to Life, not as knowledge to add to your Christian knowledge. But to increase the inhabitation of God in your heart and the manifestation of the life of Christ through your personal life!
A Wonderful Revelation…
Walking through our earthly life as Christ did, implies sanctification by the Truth to exercise a Holy Life!
The only way to be sanctified (which means separated from the darkness and elevated into a high spiritual place) is by practicing the Truth!
We were born into the world of lies, and the mindest of humanity are drinking sin as water, therefore, the unique way to separate yourself from the power of Satan and the world of lies, is through increasing your personal faithfulness in practicing the Truth in secret and among the people, seeking the continuous fullness of the Holy Spirit from the presence of God!
In Christ, when we renew our mind to the Truth, we must aim to Do the Truth, so the Truth will produce our life as a result of our actions!
Think About It…
In the Old Covenant, every word talks about waiting for Christ to arrive on the earth. However, the New Testament or Today is about Christ who has already come to the earth and IS ALIVE in you! Consequently, all Creation is waiting for His Manifestation through your life! Christ came on Earth 2.000 Years ago and He is still among us until now!
Isn’t time to confront ourselves and face our hearts, challenging the way of our lives with the reality of Christ?
The Key to the manifestation of Christ is to Turn ON your personal Knowledge for the word of God, into a Personal Present Obedience today!
